WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Sophomore guard Konner Tucker is leaving Wake Forest University and the Demon Deacon basketball program, head coach Dino Gaudio confirmed on Friday.

Tucker's future plans are undecided. He and the rest of the Deacons finished the fall semester at Wake Forest by taking final exams this past week.

"We wish Konner nothing but the best," said Gaudio. "Konner is an outstanding young man who worked hard during his time with our program. We thank him for his efforts and wish him good luck in his future endeavors."

"I want to thank Coach Gaudio and his staff for giving me the opportunity to come to Wake Forest to be a part of a great academic institution and a first-class basketball program," said Tucker. "I wish the Wake Forest program the very best of luck in the future."

Tucker, a 6-4 guard out of Fort Worth, Texas, saw action in six of Wake Forest's seven games this season. Tucker averaged 2.2 points per game after transferring to Wake Forest from Lon Morris Junior College this past summer.
