2004: A non-scholarship player who was one of only two true freshmen to see playing time in 2004, along with defensive end Jeremy Thompson... served as the team's long snapper in 10 games.

Background: A two-sport athlete at North Davidson High School, earning four letters in football and three letters in basketball... played tight end and quarterback for the Black Knights, making 20 receptions as a sophomore and a junior... threw for 2,000 yards as a senior with 20 touchdowns... named all-conference and team MVP as a junior and senior... averaged a double-double in basketball and Male Athlete of the Year as a senior... coached by Mark Holcomb at North Davidson.
