Background: Earned all-metro honors as a senior at Dunbar HS where he was coached by Craig Jeffries ¡K achieved that recognition as a defensive lineman, though he did play on both sides of the ball as a prep standout ¡K named his team MVP in 1997 as well after receiving some preseason All-America mention ¡K credited with 89 tackles from his defensive end slot and made an impressive 16 quarterback sacks ¡K contributed on the offensive side at the tight end position with 18 receptions, including three for touchdowns ¡K excelled as a blocker as well on the offensive front.
