Don Steelman enters his 15th season at Wake Forest, serving as the assistant athletic trainer in charge of Deacon football.

Steelman works on a personal basis with the team in the daily prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries year round. Steelman also serves as the treasurer and Director of the ACC Sports Medicine Annual Symposium.

For nine years prior to coming to Wake Forest, Steelman worked at the University of North Carolina, where he was the assistant athletic trainer for the football program. He received his undergraduate and master's degrees from UNC and began his career in sports medicine as a student trainer.

Steelman and his wife, Pam, have two children, Ashlyn and Rhett.
