Satchel Stump spent one season as a member of the Wake Forest football staff in 2011. He served as the program's video and football operations assistant.

A 2011 Wake Forest graduate, Stump spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons as a student assistant in the Demon Deacons' video department, filming practices and games.

Stump is a native of Pine Mountain, Ga., but spent his final three years of high school attending a boarding school in Switzerland. He graduated from Leysin American School in 2007 before enrolling at Wake Forest.

Stump also spent time overseas during the summer of 2009, working for the United States Department of State in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

Stump received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Wake Forest in May 2011. During the summer of 2010, he completed an internship with J.S. Held, a construction consulting company in New Jersey, assisting with cost analysis and estimate comparisons.

Satchel is the son of Jeff and Beverly Stump, both of whom live and work overseas.
