ACC Announces Football Opponents for 2013 Season

Jan. 11, 2013

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference today announced each member's football opponents and sites for the 2013 season.

Next fall, Wake Forest will play home games with Duke, Florida State, Maryland and NC State. The Demon Deacons will be on the road for contests at Boston College, Clemson, Miami and Syracuse.

With the addition of Pittsburgh and Syracuse to the ACC starting in the fall, the Orange will compete alongside Wake Forest in the Atlantic Division. The Deacons will now play six games against fellow Atlantic Division members and just two Coastal opponents. In recent years, ACC teams have played five opponents from their own division and three cross-over opponents.

Wake Forest's primary cross-over opponent will remain Duke. Miami will be the Deacons' rotating cross-over opponent in 2013. The rotating cross-over opponent will change from year to year.

The ACC expects to announce the full schedule with dates sometime next month.
