Wake Forest Announces 2013 Football Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday announced the football schedules for all 14 conference members.

Wake Forest will play six games at home and six on the road. The Demon Deacons will also play a pair of non-Saturday games, opening at home on Thursday, August 29 against Presbyterian and playing a Friday night game at Boston College on Sept. 6.

The Deacons will open at home on Thursday, Aug. 29 against Presbyterian.

Wake Forest will then visit Boston College for a Friday night game on Sept. 6. The game will be part of the ACC's ESPN Friday night package and will serve as Wake Forest's first ACC game of the season. The game will mark Wake Forest's first regular season Friday game since playing at the University of Miami on Nov. 21, 1969.

Wake Forest will host the University of Louisiana Monroe on Sept. 14 at BB&T Field. ULM, a member of the Sun Belt Conference, went 8-5 in 2012 and finished tied for second in the conference with a 6-2 record.

The Demon Deacons will play at Army on Sept. 21. It will mark Wake Forest's first visit to Michie Stadium since 1999.

Wake Forest continues ACC play at Clemson on Sept. 28 before returning home to face NC State on Oct. 5 at BB&T Field. After an open date, the Deacons host Maryland on Oct. 19.

The Deacons then go on the road for a pair of ACC games, at Miami on Oct. 26 and at Syracuse on Nov. 2. It will mark Wake Forest's first conference game against the Orange.

 

 

Florida State will come to BB&T Field on Nov. 9. The Deacons will have a second open date on Nov. 16 before closing the home schedule with Duke on Nov. 23. Wake Forest will conclude the season at Vanderbilt on Nov. 30.
