Wake Forest wide receiver Chris Givens was selected by the St. Louis Rams with the first pick of the fourth round in Saturday's NFL Draft.

Givens was a first team all-ACC selection in 2011 as he set Wake Forest's season record for receiving yards with 1,330 yards. The junior caught 83 passes and scored nine touchdowns. For his three-year career as a Demon Deacon, Givens had 163 receptions for 2,473 yards and 21 touchdowns. He added 45 career rushing attempts for 238 yards and two touchdowns. Givens finished his career with 24 touchdowns.

He is just the second Wake Forest player to make an early entry into the NFL. Linebacker Jon Abbate was an early entry candidate following the 2006 season.
