GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The 62nd annual Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll was announced today (July 6), recognizing academic excellence by student-athletes during the 2017-18 academic year. A total of 192 Demon Deacons were recognized by the conference.

The Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year.

Thirty-five student-athletes from across the conference earned ACC Honor Roll status for the fifth time, including Wake Forest field hockey’s Shannon Eby and Meghan Murphy.

Leading the way for the Demon Deacons was football with 35 student-athletes on the ACC Honor Roll. Track & field and cross country had a combined 34 student-athletes on the honor roll, including 17 men and 17 women. Women’s soccer had an impressive 24 of 26 student-athletes on the 2017-18 ACC Honor Roll while all eight women’s golfers made the list.

Field hockey had 17 representatives followed by baseball (14), volleyball (13), men’s soccer (12), men’s tennis (8), men’s basketball (8), men’s golf (8), women’s basketball (6) and women’s tennis (4).

The ACC set a record with 4,650 student-athletes being recognized, surpassing last year's record of 4,477.
