Price and Whitlock Attend 2012 ACC Kickoff
July 22, 2012 GREENSBORO, N.C. -Junior Tanner Price and redshirt junior Nikita Whitlock represented Wake Forest on Sunday at the 2012 ACC Football Kickoff at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. Price, the starting quarterback, and Whitlock, the starting nose tackle, met with the media for several hours talking about the upcoming season of Demon Deacons football. Spending time with both national and local media outlets including the ACC Network, ESPN, and Fox Sports, Whitlock and Price both spoke at length about their expectations and thoughts heading into the fall. First, each of the players took pictures with their counterparts in the conference on the lawn of the resort before heading inside to speak with selected radio outlets. After several minutes, the duo headed to the television news conference where they were asked questions in front of many of the local TV stations. After nearly an hour of fielding inquiries from the print media, Whitlock and Price each spoke with ESPN ACC blogger Heather Dinich along with recording interviews for ESPN's College Gameday. Both players answered questions ranging from what was their favorite class, to what player in the ACC they like watching and what their favorite Halloween costume was. One highlight of the afternoon was both players got to be interviewed by former Demon Deacon quarterback Riley Skinner who is now an analyst for the ACC Digital Network. Price and Whitlock then rotated down radio row, speaking with radio outlets from several different states and wrapping up the marathon day of interviews. On Monday, head coach Jim Grobe will meet with the media in the second day of the ACC Kickoff. Also, the conference's annual Preseason Poll will be announced early in the afternoon along with the 2012 ACC Football Preseason All-ACC Team which is selected by the attending media.
