  • Wake Forest heads out on the road for the first time in 2012 and will take on No. 5/6 Florida State at Doak Campbell Stadium this Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla.
  • The Deacons are coming off a thrilling 28-27 come-from-behind victory over North Carolina at BB&T Field last Saturday. Florida State won a rain-shortened game 55-0 over Savannah State last Saturday.
  • Juniors Tanner Price and Michael Campanaro each had career nights for the Deacons in the victory.
  • Price was 28-of-37 for a career-high 327 yards. He also ran seven times for a total of five yards and a career-high two touchdowns.
  • Trailing 27-21 with 6:36 to play in the game, Price led the Demon Deacons on a go-ahead 93-yard touchdown drive. He capped the drive with a 1-yard TD plunge.
  • One week after hauling in a then career-high 10 passes against Liberty, Campanaro had a career-high 13 passes for a career-high 164 yards against the Tar Heels. That was the most receptions by any Demon Deacon against UNC and it was tied for the second-most catches by any player against the Tar Heels.
  • The defense also came-up big for the Deacons in the second half. With the game tied at 21-21 late in the third quarter, the Wake Forest defense held UNC to a pair of field goals when it looked like the Heels were ready to put the game away.
  • Florida State has dominated the series with Wake Forest, leading 23-6-1 but the Demon Deacons have won four of the last six meetings.
  • The last two victories over ranked teams for Wake Forest have come against Florida State. The Deacs knocked off the No. 22-ranked Seminoles last season 35-30 and the No. 24-ranked Seminoles 12-3 in 2008.
