WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will open its 57th season of play in the Atlantic Coast Conference when the Demon Deacons travel to Boston College for a 2 p.m. matchup with the Eagles on Saturday at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The game is available on the Wake Forest ISP Radio Network, and it will also be broadcast online via ESPN360.com.

On the heels of two straight home wins, the Deacons have some momentum as they hit the road for the first time this season. Wake Forest is coming off a dominating 35-7 defeat of in-state rival and FCS opponent Elon last Saturday in Winston-Salem.

Wake piled up 426 yards of total offense against Elon, including 294 through the air and 132 on the ground. QB Riley Skinner led the Deacs, throwing for career-highs of 289 yards and three touchdowns.

Led by first-year head coach Frank Spaziani, Boston College is 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the ACC. The Eagles are coming off a 25-7 setback at Clemson last weekend.

Boston College leads the all-time series with Wake Forest, 8-6-2. The Eagles have taken two straight from the Deacons, including a come-from-behind 24-21 win in Winston-Salem last season.

Quickie Notes
- QB Riley Skinner already holds Wake Forest's career completions record, and he is now on the cusp of entering the ACC's top seven list for completions. Skinner is 10 completions shy of North Carolina's Darian Durant (2001-04) for seventh place.
- PK Jimmy Newman is the first true freshman kicker to see action under Grobe since punter Ryan Plackemeier in 2002. Plackemeier went on to win the Ray Guy Award in 2005.

Next Up...
Wake Forest returns home next Saturday, Oct. 3, to host in-state rival NC State at 3:30 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPNU. The Deacons will then host Maryland for Homecoming the following weekend on Oct. 10. That will mark Wake's fifth home contest in its first six games of the season.
