WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest welcomes in the Maryland Terrapins its 2009 Homecoming game on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at BB&T Field. The game is available on the Wake Forest ISP Radio Network and will also be broadcast online via ESPN360.com. The Deacons come in at 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the ACC. Wake Forest is coming off a 30-24 defeat of rival NC State last Saturday in Winston-Salem. QB Riley Skinner led the Deacs to victory, passing for 361 yards and three touchdowns. The Deacon defense was impressive as well, forcing three NC State turnovers on the day. The Terrapins come to town sporting a record of 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the ACC. Maryland opened conference play last weekend with a 24-21 defeat of Clemson in College Park. QB Chris Turner passed for two touchdowns, and Maryland overcame two late missed field goals by Clemson to hold on for the victory. Maryland holds a 41-15-1 advantage in the all-time series with Wake Forest that dates back to 1917. The Deacons have taken two of the past three from the Terps including the last meeting at BB&T Field in 2007. Quickie Notes Next Up...
