Deacs Rally But Fall Short Against Boston College 23-17
Wake Forest staged a late 14-point rally in the fourth quarter, but fell by a final score of 23-17 to Boston College on Saturday.

The Match-Up
• Wake Forest returns to the road for two straight games, beginning with a trip to Boston College on Oct. 10 at 3 p.m.
• The game airs live on RSN, which includes Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Carolinas. It can also be heard on the Wake Forest Sports Network and online at WakeForestSports.com.

Wake Forest Storylines
• For the second consecutive week, the Demon Deacons had a chance to tie the game on their final possession, but an interception in the end zone ended the rally in a 24-16 loss to No. 11/9 Florida State. Wake Forest out-gained the Seminoles on the ground and through the air, but again failed to register a turnover.
• Wake Forest totaled 27 first downs against the Seminoles, more than the Deacs had in the previous three meetings against FSU combined.
Cam Serigne was named the ACC Receiver of the Week after hauling in a career-high 10 receptions for 83 yards and a score. He ranks second among tight ends nationally with 5.2 catches per game.
• Wake Forest is 39th in the country in scoring defense, allowing just 20.4 points per game, and 15th in passing defense.
Ryan Anderson has been reinstated to the team after a suspension and is available for action against Boston College.
• Wake Forest’s 2015 opponents have a combined record of 39-18, including two unbeaten teams in Florida State and Clemson.

The Opposition & Series History
• Wake Forest and Boston College are meeting for the 13th consecutive season, and for the 23rd time overall.
• Boston College holds a 12-8-2 advantage in the all-time series, including wins in each of the last two contests.
• In each of the past seven meetings, the team that scored first went on to win the game.
• Boston College has dropped two of its last three games, also averaging 3.5 points per game during its two ACC contests against Florida State and Duke. However, the defense has yet to concede more than 14 points in a game.
