Head coach Jim Grobe

On the win over Boston College...
"I think our backs were against the wall with Boston College and they're probably still there. We knew going in that we had four games left, all of them really good football teams. I'm glad we made enough plays this past Saturday to win but I think we have to play a little bit better this Saturday at Carter Finley (Stadium)".

On facing NC State after its loss to Virginia on Saturday...
"I think in this league, everybody is good. Everybody has good players and you can't take anybody for granted from week to week. I'm not surprised that Virginia won that football game. I think Virginia is a really good football team. They've got a lot of good players and I think it just proves that every week you got to play. More veteran players know that, and I think sometimes young guys take teams for granted. Probably NC State was a little surprised with Virginia but they won't be without motivation this Saturday. I know going into their place, they're going to be spitting nails and ready to play football again. We're going to have to play great to have a chance."

On what to expect from NC State on Saturday...
"I think we're pretty well along in our seasons right now, so I don't think either team is going to reinvent the wheel. We're going to do what we've been doing and try to do it a little bit better, I think."

On the rivalry with an in-state team...
"A lot of our kids have played against their kids in high school and some of them have been teammates with their kids in high school, so I think anytime you have familiarity with them on a personnel standpoint, it makes it a rivalry. We know they're a really good football team. These guys beat Florida State. If you beat Florida State, you're a heck of a football team. We know what they're capable of, we know they're going to take their best shot and hopefully our guys will continue to be motivated. We have to have great effort out of our guys for the next three weeks."

On playing well both on offense and defense...
"Throughout the season you have ups and downs and the key is to, if you have a bad week, you have to be able to bounce back.If you have a good week, you have to keep your feet on the ground and keep playing good. That's our kind of football. If you play good defense it means you're finding a way to create some turnovers. Offensively, our first thought is to take care of the football, but you have to score points against the teams we're playing against. If you're not able to score a few points, it's going to be hard to win."

Junior Wide Receiver Michael Campanaro

On the impact of Saturday's win over Boston College...
"It was a huge win and helped us to get back on track. We're 5-4 and one game closer to bowl eligibility. I thought we played well on both sides of the ball. All of the turnovers that our defense (forced) was great. Any time that you're sitting on the bench and you hear a sudden change, it's just a great feeling."

On his 16-catch, ACC single-game record...
"It was exciting and a great accomplishment, but it was even better to get the win. I felt good out there. My hand is feeling a lot better. I'm just excited that it's finally getting healthy."

On what to expect from NC State...
"NC State is a good team. I know they didn't play as well as they wanted to last week, but they beat Florida State earlier in the year. They've got a lot of talented guys out there, especially in the secondary. They're 5-4 just like us and they know they need another win to go to a bowl. It's going to be a great game and I think they're definitely going to be fired up."

Freshman Nose Guard Tylor Harris

On Wake Forest's defense...
"The defense is really starting to develop an attitude for itself, as far as more confidence on the field. We're just really coming together. It also really helps us when we're able to get off the field and the offense comes on and is able to score the ball. It's a team effort. No one person gets credit for it."

On playing in road games...
"I love going on the road. It's good playing at BB&T Field, but it's also good to go to other stadiums to get a feel for the different atmospheres and see what it's like in different places."

On preparing for games as a true freshman...
"The older guys really help us to focus in practice to make sure we get every mental and physical rep that we can. They help us inside and outside of practice, they'll watch film with us and things like that. On the way for road games they'll help us relax so that we're not nervous or stressed out. The entire team comes around to help you so that you're not really worried, and you can be confident when Saturday comes around."
