WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest wide receiver Greg Dortch has been named to the USA Today Freshman All-America team.

Dortch, a 5-9, 165-pound redshirt freshman from Richmond, Va. (Highland Springs), led Wake Forest with 53 receptions, 722 receiving yards and nine touchdown catches despite playing just eight games.

Dortch set a school record with four touchdown receptions vs. Louisville on Oct. 28 but suffered an abdominal injury that required surgery and cost him the remainder of the season.

Dortch was the first freshman in school history to catch a touchdown pass in each of his first four career games.

At the time of his injury, Dortch led all freshmen in the nation in touchdown receptions, receiving yards, and receiving yards per game while being the national leader in receptions among freshmen at 53. Dortch was one of only four players nationally to catch four TD passes in a game in 2017 and the only freshman.
