Gold Outlasts Black for 31-12 Victory in Spring Game
The Black squad mounted a second-half comeback, but the Gold team held on for a 31-12 victory in Wake Forest's annual spring game on Saturday afternoon at BB&T Field.

Tyler Cameron and Kevin Sousa took turns quarterbacking for each squad on Saturday. Sousa led the way with 178 yards on 16-of-32 passing with a touchdown and two interceptions, while Cameron went 9-of-26 for 83 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Read More

2014 Spring Game Details
Wake Forest will host its annual Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 26, at 2 p.m. This year, the Demon Deacons will be split into a Black Team and a Gold Team, and the squads will compete in a simulated game.

Demon Deacons Hold Second Spring Football Scrimmage
Wake Forest head football coach Dave Clawson put the Demon Deacons through a two hour scrimmage on Friday night at BB&T Field as the club enters the final week of spring football.

Orville Reynolds scored twice for the offense on runs of 11 and 15 yards. On both scores, Reynolds took a handoff inside and was able to bounce out to the perimeter and outrace the defense to the goal line. Read More

Wake Forest has several question marks it is trying to answer this spring, but one area the Demon Deacons are more than set in is the secondary, where a veteran group is expected to shoulder much of the defensive load this season.

Wake Forest Holds First Spring Football Scrimmage
Wake Forest head football coach Dave Clawson led the Demon Deacons through their first scrimmage of the spring on Saturday afternoon at BB&T Field. The Deacon scrimmaged for 1:45 on a beautiful spring day with the offense scoring 22 points.

The offense tallied on five field goals and one touchdown during the scrimmage. Redshirt junior kicker Chad Hedlund booted field goals of 32, 41 and 29 yards while redshirt freshman Mike Weaver connected from 40 and 38 yards. Read More

With a combined 24 attempts in their careers, Tyler Cameron and Kevin Sousa have never truly been at the forefront of the Demon Deacon offense. This spring, however, all eyes are on the two quarterbacks to see who will gain the advantage for the starting nod in 2014.
