Dan Walters is in his third season as assistant coach for the Wake Forest men's golf program.

In Walters' first two seasons, he has helped guide the team to one victory and 13 top-5 finishes. He has also played a significant role in recruiting, as he helped bring in top-recruit Brandon Ng for the class of 2011.

Walters was a two-time PING first team All-America at Rollins where he averaged 72.77 shots per round and posted 16 top-15 finishes in 21 events with three victories over his final two years. In all, Walters recorded five collegiate victories and was a three-time Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar.

He also won the 2006 Sunshine State Conference Championship and was named first team All-South Region and first team All-Sunshine State Conference in both 2005 and 2006.

Walters was a three-year letterwinner for the Tars from 2004-06 and remained with the program as an assistant coach for the 2007 and 2008 seasons.

While he was coaching at Rollins, Walters also played professionally on the North American Professional Golf Tour and the NGA Hooters Tour. He finished 14th on the NAPGT money list in 2007 and was 11th place on the 2008 Hooters Tour Winter Series. The Lancaster, Pa., native also finished as the low professional at the 2008 Pennsylvania Open.
