DEACS TRAVEL TO COLUMBUS FOR NCAA REGIONAL
• Wake Forest will compete at the 2018 NCAA Columbus Regional, hosted by Ohio State University on the Scarlet Course
• The Demon Deacons are the No. 5 seed in the regional, where the top five finishers will advance to the NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Okla.

NCAA REGIONAL HISTORY
• Wake Forest is making its 29th appearence at a NCAA Regional
• The Demon Deacons have advanced from a regional to the NCAA Championships in 16 of their 28 previous appearances
• Wake Forest has three victories at NCAA Regionals: 2005 (East), 2006 (East), 2008 (Central)
• Bill Haas won the individual title at the 2004 NCAA East Regional at Yale

SCARLET COURSE HISTORY
• Ohio State’s Scarlet Course has been good to the Demon Deacons over the years
• The Demon Deacons last visited the course in 2008 when they won the NCAA Central Regional to advance to the NCAA Championships
• Wake Forest won the 1975 NCAA Championship in Columbus, with Jay Haas taking the individual title
• The Demon Deacons also were runner-up at the 1970 and 1987 NCAA Championships at the Scarlet Course

SEASON RECAP
• Wake Forest enters the NCAA Regional ranked No. 25 in the Golfstat Rankings
• Wake Forest won two titles this season, the Rod Myers Invitational at Duke and the Shoal Creek Invitational in Alabama, both in the fall
• Will Zalatoris, the 2017 ACC Player of the Year, turned pro in December after playing the fall semester of his senior season
• The Demon Deacons have finished n the top three in each of their last three events, following the return of Cameron Young, who missed the first three events of the spring due to injury

RECORD ROUND IN CARY
• The Demon Deacons set a school record with a 19-under final round at last month’s Stitch Intercollegiate
• The previous record was 18-under during the first round of the 2016 Schenkel Invitational

LATE SURGE AT ACC’s
• The Demon Deacons shot 14-under during the final round of the ACC Championship, highlighted by a strong finishing stretch
• After being in ninth place early in the round, the five Demon Deacons combined to shoot 20-under par over the final 10 holes, recording one eagle, 22 birdies and just four bogeys
• The 14-under final round and the 26-under total score were both the lowest scores ever shot by the Demon Deacons at an ACC Championship
