Zalatoris Selected to PING All-America Third Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest freshman Will Zalatoris collected his second All-America award, this time garnering third team honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Zalatoris was named to the PING All-America third team by the GCAA to go along with his third team selection by Golfweek. He was also one of five players in the country named to GCAA All-Freshmen team and he earned a spot on the PING Division I All-East Region team.

The freshman from Plano, Texas has collected the awards after one of the best rookie seasons in school history. He was named the ACC Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the All-ACC team. His stroke average of 70.07 is the second lowest in a single season at Wake Forest behind Bill Haas' mark of 68.93 in 2003-04. Zalatoris finished under par in all but one tournament this season and finished the season ranked No. 20 individually by Golfstat.com.
