EL-PASO, Texas - Wake Forest junior Evan Beck shot a 75 and senior Lee Bedford carded a 77 in the final round of the Western Refining All-American Classic at the El Paso Country Club on Tuesday.

Beck made one birdie in his round of 4-over 75 and finished the 54-hole event in a tie for 21st at 10-over par. Bedford had a tough start on Tuesday but finished with a birdie at the par-5 ninth to card a 77. He finished in a tie for 25th at 13-over.

Cory Whitsett, Todd Baek and Jace Long all finished the tournament at 7-under par and the trio would head to a playoff. Both Whitsett and Long birdied the first playoff hole and would knock-out Baek. After both players pared the second hole, Whitsett birdied the third hole to claim medalist honors.

The 54-hole event was an invitation-only tournament. All-Americans from the previous season are invited along with individual champions from the DII and DIII levels. Bedford earned his second All-American honors last season while Beck was honored for the first time.

Beck and Bedford will now be off before joining the team for the first event of the spring, Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, on Feb. 20-21.
