Men's Soccer Hosts West Virginia in Saturday Spring Match
April 13, 2012
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Spring training continues for the Wake Forest men's soccer team on Saturday, April 14 when the Demon Deacons host West Virginia in their fourth spring match of 2012. The Mountaineers will pay a visit to Spry Stadium for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. Admission is free and open to the public. The Deacs are 1-1-1 thus far in their spring exhibition schedule with a win against Coastal Carolina in their most recent outing on Saturday, March 31. Kyle Emerson netted two goals in his return to game action after a knee injury sidelined him for the entire 2011 fall season. Earlier in the spring, Wake Forest turned in a nil-nil draw versus Northwestern and dropped a hard fought 2-1 decision on the road against VCU. After Saturday's match, only one more home match remains as the Deacs will host defending national champion North Carolina. The Tar Heels will visit Spry on Saturday, April 21 for a 7:00 p.m. kick.
