WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest was dominant defensively and used a second half game-winner from junior forward Andy Lubahn to secure a 1-0 win over visiting West Virginia on Saturday, April 14 at Spry Stadium.

The Demon Deacons improved to 2-1-1 on the spring season with the win and will wrap up their exhibition schedule with one more home match versus ACC rival North Carolina on Saturday, April 21. The match will kickoff at 7:00 p.m.

Lubahn scored the decisive goal with a rocket shot in the 70th minute, corralling a clearance off a Ben Newnam corner and beating the WVU keeper near post.

The Deacon backline held firm all night, as WFU goalkeeper Michael Lisch was called into action just once - making the save - and limiting the Mountaineers to just four shots. Wake Forest won the shot battle, 14-4, and took eight corners to WVU's two.
