WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest freshman midfielder/defender Nick Millington will travel to Portugal later this month to play three matches with the United States U-18 Men's National Team.

A native of Raleigh, N.C., Millington was one of six midfielders selected for the 18-player squad. He is also one of six college players to be named to the team.

The U.S. will face three different teams on the trip, which begins May 22. The United States opens up play on May 27 with a match against Finland, before facing Germany on May 28. The trip concludes with a game against host-team Portugal on May 30.

Millington has played in three games, including two starts, with the U.S. U-18 Men's National Team during 2009. During the three games, he has played a total of 198 minutes.

Millington saw playing time in 13 games, including one start, during his freshman season as a Demon Deacon. He finished the year with a goal and an assist. Millington tallied a goal in Wake's 3-0 win against UCLA on September 5 and added an assist in the Deacs' 8-2 victory over Virginia Tech on October 4.
