Men's Soccer Program Welcomes Asher McGarrah

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest head men's soccer coach Bobby Muuss welcomed 11-year-old Asher McGarrah to the team on Tuesday afternoon.

McGarrah has been battling Chronic Myeloid Leukemia for seven years, and came to Wake Forest through Team IMPACT, which Improves the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses through the power of team.

His cancer is a form that typically affects the elderly, and has no known cure. He is required to take daily treatment.

The Deacs welcomed him on Tuesday with a Letter of Intent, as well as Wake Forest apparel, including a scarf, cleats, a backpack and shirts.
