Parkhurst Called Up for Jamaica World Cup Qualifiers

By Steven Wright, Wake Forest Athletic Communications (@SIDeacons) WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Michael Parkhurst has been called up to the Jamaica World Cup qualifiers roster for the US Men's National Team, as announced by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann on Sunday. The United States currently is tied atop Group A with Jamaica and will play the Reggae Boyz in Jamaica on September 7 and in Columbus, Ohio on September 11 at Columbus Crew Stadium. Parkhurst has 13 caps with the Americans and most recently played in a friendly against Canada on June 3 right after seeing time in a friendly against Brazil on May 30. Following the games with Jamaica, Parkhurst will return to FC Nordsjaelland (Denmark) to compete in the Champions League.
