Anthony Arena
Arena was signed by the Houston Dynamo in the 2013 Supplemental Draft and made his MLS debut on June 1, when he played 70 minutes against the Columbus Crew. The rookie defender played in six reserve matches, starting five and played 455 minutes through the season. Arena and the Dynamo defeated the Montreal Impact 3-0 in the knockout round of the MLS playoffs, moving on to the second round against Supporters Shield holders the New York Red Bulls. The Dynamo beat the No. 1 seeded Red Bulls 4-3 on aggregate and are currently facing off against former Deacon Ike Opara and Sporting KC, tying 0-0 in the first round of the Eastern finals on Saturday, Nov. 9. Houston will be back for the second leg of the conference finals on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Corben Bone
Bone played in one match for the Chicago Fire and started 20 matches for the Fire reserves. The midfielder had two goals and two assists in 21 reserve games. Bone and the Fire finished the 2013 season in sixth place in the Eastern conference.

Brian Carroll
Carroll started and played in 33 matches for the Philadelphia Union, and the team captain finished the year with two goals and one assist. The midfielder played in his 300th MLS match at his former stadium against DC United, almost a decade after he made his first league appearance. "To get an opportunity to play some in my second season and to take advantage of it and to know that it would transpire into this, I would have been thrilled back then if you had told me that," Carroll told Philadelphiaunion.com. "I was trying to play, learn and get better. I've been very fortunate through the years." Carroll and the Union ended the 2013 season in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.

Sam Cronin
Cronin started all 34 games for the San Jose Earthquakes in the 2013 season. The midfielder scored two goals and had four assists and was nominated for MLS MVP. Cronin was recently named the Earthquakes' Team MVP. "The way that I like to view the role that I play, it's kind of a link to every position," Cronin told SJEarthquakes.com. "I am almost one person away from almost every person on the field, outside backs, center backs, outside midfielders and forwards...I'm always one of the closest ones to all of those guys. I try to be in support of all those players whenever they need support. It's kind of a workman's position. It's a supporting role." Cronin and the Earthquakes finished in sixth place in the Western Conference to end the 2013 season.

Stephen Keel
Keel played in eight games, starting five, for FC Dallas in 2013. The defender joined Dallas in 2012 through the Re-Entry Draft and scored one goal in the final game of the season against the San Jose Earthquakes. Keel and FC Dallas finished the 2013 season in eighth place in the Western Conference.

Michael Lahoud
Lahoud played in nine games, starting three, for the Philadelphia Union. The midfielder spent a portion of the season sidelined with an injury and underwent surgery earlier this year. Lahoud and the Union finished the 2013 season in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.

Collin Martin
Martin appeared in seven games for DC United, starting four of them in his rookie season as he helped DC United win the 2013 US Open Cup. The midfielder signed with his former academy team in the summer of 2013 and had six shots on the year. Martin and DC United finished the 2013 season in 10th place in the Eastern Conference.

Ike Opara
Opara played in 18 games, starting 15 of them for Sporting KC in 2013. The defender scored three goals in his first year with the team after being traded from San Jose. Opara and Sporting KC finished in second place in the Eastern Conference, and defeated the New England Revolution 4-3 on aggregate in the Eastern semifinals, with Opara coming in at the 116th minute in the second game. Sporting KC is currently taking on the Houston Dynamo in the Eastern Conference finals, tying 0-0 on Saturday, Nov. 9, with Opara picking up six minutes of game action. Sporting will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 23 for the second leg against Houston.

James Riley
Riley appeared in 21 games for DC United, starting 19 of them. The defender finished the year with one assist and helped DC United win the 2013 US Open Cup, Riley's fifth time winning that trophy. Riley and DC United ended the 2013 season in 10th place in the Eastern Conference.

Wells Thompson
Thompson played in eight matches for the Fire, starting six. The midfielder had six shots on the year in MLS action. Thompson and the Fire ended the 2013 season in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

Marcus Tracy
Tracy played in five games for the San Jose Earthquakes before having season-ending surgery on his right knee. The forward made his first appearance for the Earthquakes on May 4, his first time seeing the field in MLS action after spending time in the Danish Superliga. Tracy and the Earthquakes ended the season in sixth place in the Western Conference to finish off their 2013 campaign.
