WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – In addition to the program's success on the field, the Wake Forest men's soccer team also wrapped up its first season with Team IMPACT member Asher McGarrah.

McGarrah has been battling Chronic Myeloid Leukemia for seven years, and came to Wake Forest in August through Team IMPACT, which improves the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses through the power of team.

His cancer is a form that typically affects the elderly, and has no known cure. He is required to take daily treatment.

McGarrah was along for the ride all season, helping the Deacs finish with a 19-2-2 overall record and a sweep of the ACC regular season and ACC Championship titles.
