No. 21 Wake Forest Downs VCU 4-2

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 21 Wake Forest men's tennis team defeated Virginia Commonwealth 4-2 on Saturday afternoon at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center. The Demon Deacons are now 5-2 with the win and the Rams are 8-3. Wake Forest changed up the doubles lineup, splitting up sixth-ranked duo Cory Parr and Steve Forman. Forman and Jon Wolff had the only doubles win of the day, defeating Bobo Delmark and Jordan Dyke 8-5. David Hopkins and Andrew Brasseaux played at No. 1 where the tandem stayed just one game behind but was broken by Benjamin Bouhana/Emil Lindgren at the end of the pro-set to fall 8-6. Cory Parr and Jason Morgenstern dropped a close 9-8 match at No. 2. In singles, Jon Wolff knotted the match score at 1-1 with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Bobo Delemark at No. 5. Cory Parr followed with his fourth win of the season at No. 1 singles, taking a 6-4, 6-2 win over Martin Schulhauser. Steven Forman pushed the Deacons up 3-2 with a 7-6, 6-1, 6-3 win over Benjamin Bouhana at No. 2 and David Hopkins clinched the Deacon victory at No. 4. Wake Forest will now prepare for a 14-match road stretch when they travel to Minnesota on February 20. Tennis Match Results
