Men's Tennis Rallies Past 3-0 Deficit To Down Louisville 4-3

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After falling behind 3-0, the No. 30 Wake Forest men's tennis team posted four consecutive singles wins, including a 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 clinching victory from sophomore Jon Wolff, to take a 4-3 victory over Louisville on the road Friday evening. The Demon Deacons improved to 6-4 for 2009 with the win.
Wake's No. 1 ranked doubles team of Cory Parr and Steven Forman defeated no. 6 Austen Childs/Simon Childs 8-4 for the only WFU doubles win of the night. Sophomore Iain Atkinson made his first appearance of the season, teaming up with classmate Jon Wolff at No. 3 doubles, but the team was edged 8-6 by Viktor Maksimuk and Robert Hall.
Louisville then leaped out to a 3-0 lead when Maksimcuk defeated Atkinson 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Steven Forman fell 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3.
Cory Parr topped Austen Childs at the top of the lineup (6-2, 7-6) to get WFU on the scoreboard and Andrew Brasseaux added a win at no. 5. David Hopkins pulled out a 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 6 to knot the score at 3-3.
Sophomore Jon Wolff added the final victory, taking down Alejandro Calligari.
