No. 29 Deacs Shell Terps 6-1

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 29 Wake Forest men's tennis team earned its second Atlantic Coast Conference win of the season with a 6-1 decision over No. 53 Maryland on Friday afternoon. Wake Forest now stands at 10-6 overall with a 2-1 ACC mark, while Maryland fell to 9-4, 1-3. Mariusz Adamski and Jason Morgenstern teamed up for the first time this season in doubles and posted an 8-6 win at No. 3 to clinch the opening point for WFU. Andrew Brasseaux and Carlos Salmon notched the first win of the afternoon, nailing an 8-4 upset over Maryland's No. 40 Nickolai Nielson and Amit Inbar at No. 2. Adamski and Demon Deacon freshman Jon Wolff put Wake Forest up 3-0 with singles wins at Nos. 3 and 6, respectively. Steve Forman sealed the deal by taking a 7-5, 6-4 win over David Kwon at No. 2. Cory Parr and Jason Morganstern added the final points to WFU's 6-1 win. On Saturday, the Deacs will continue ACC play when they host Boston College at 10 a.m. At 4 p.m. Wake Forest is set to wrap up weekend action with Elon at Leighton Stadium on the WFU campus.
