No. 26 Demon Deacons Sweep Clemson 7-0

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team bounced back from a tough Georgia Tech 4-3 loss on Saturday to sweep Clemson 7-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Indoor Tennis Center and Leighton Stadium.
Wake Forest improves to 8-5 and 2-1 in the ACC. Clemson stalls at 15-4, 2-2.
Wake Forest took the doubles point 3-0, but Clemson roared back on courts 1 and 3 after falling behind early to give the Demon Deacons a run for the money. Steven Forman and Zach Leslie were up 7-2 when Clemson won three back-to-back games. On court 3 Jon Wolff and Jason Morgenstern were up 7-1 when Clemson broke through and fired back with four wins before Morgenstern and Wolff finished the match.
The match was moved indoors following doubles action due to rain in the area.
In singles, Danny Kreyman started things off with his second straight set win of the weekend. He methodically took out Zach Rigsby 6-1, 6-0 to put the Demon Deacons in front 2-0.
Steven Forman followed up his four hour match on Saturday with a quicker 6-3, 6-3 win on Sunday, defeating Clemson's Carlos Alvarez at No. 1.
Freshman Zach Leslie looked to clinch the match quickly, defeating Juan Bolona 6-3 in the first set and going up 4-1 in the second. But Bolona rallied to chase Leslie to a 4-5 score before Leslie clinched the win with a 6-4 second set finish.
Freshman Tripper Carleton won his first Atlantic Coast Conference singles match with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Clemson junior Kevin Galloway at No. 3. Iain Atkinson finished a few minutes later with a 7-6, 6-4 win over at No. 4 to improve to 3-0 in the ACC.
Jon Wolff wrapped up play with a three set contest against Derek DiFrazio. DiFrazio took the first set tiebreaker, but Wolff came back to win the second set 6-3 and followed with a 10-5 win in the super tiebreaker to complete Wake's 7-0 sweep.
Next week the Demon Deacons are headed to Chapel Hill on Tuesday to battle North Carolina.
