April 11, 2008 BLACKSBURG, Va. - The No. 30 Wake Forest men's tennis team fought its way back from a doubles point deficit to post four singles wins, taking a 4-3 decision over No. 29 Virginia Tech on Friday afternoon. With the match score tied at 3-3, sophomore Jason Morgenstern clinched the victory at No. 4 with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 win over Pedro Graber. The victory was Morgenstern's 20th since the fall and eighth in ACC dual match play. The Demon Deacons are now 16-8 and 7-3 in the ACC while Virginia Tech stands at 12-7, 5-5. Steve Forman was the first to earn a singles win on Friday, upending 40th-ranked Albert Larregola in straight sets (6-2, 6-3). Senior Mariusz Adamski followed with a quick 6-3, 6-1 vicotyr over Yoann Re at No. 3, to give the Deacons a 2-1 advantage. Junior Cory Parr put up a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Nicolas Delgado de Robles at No. 2 to bring Wake Forest within one match win of taking the Friday night contest. VT's Sebasties Jacques kept the Hokies alive with a 7-6(6), 6-3 win over WFU freshman Jon Wolff, and Brandon Corace's third set victory over Andrew Brasseaux tied the contest for the final time. The Demon Deacons will finish out the season in Charlottesville on Sunday, taking on top-ranked Virginia at 1 p.m. #30 Wake Forest 4, #29 Virginia Tech 3
