Hopkins and Prabhakar Reach Quarters at Regionals

By Alex Botoman, Wake Forest Athletic Communications (@SIDeacons) CARY, N.C. - Wake Forest's 17th-ranked doubles team of David Hopkins and Amogh Prabhakar advanced to the quarterfinals to highlight the Demon Deacons' play on Saturday at the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Championships at Cary Tennis Park. Hopkins and Prabhakar took down South Carolina's Andrew Adams and Thiago Pinheiro 8-3 before beating Elon's Jordan Kaufman and Brian Kowalski to earn a berth in the final eight. They will play another Elon team, Stefan Fortmann and Cameron Silverman, tomorrow for a spot in the semifinals. Anthony Delcore and Conner Sherwood also reached the round of 16, defeating Matias Di Pasquale and Garik Yedigarian 8-6 before falling to 43rd-ranked Dominique Maden and Yannick Maden.
