WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Amogh Prabhakar was named the ACC Men's Tennis Player of the Week after going 6-0 in singles and doubles to help lead Wake Forest to wins over No. 49 Alabama, No. 59 New Mexico and Penn State last weekend.

Prabhakar won all three of his matches at No. 1 doubles with partner David Hopkins, including the victories that clinched the doubles point for the Demon Deacons against the Crimson Tide and the Lobos.

In singles, Prabhakar, who is ranked No. 59 nationally, split time between the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, posting wins in all three matches. The senior captain defeated New Mexico's 73rd-ranked Samir Iftikhar 6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-3 and notched straight-set victories over Alabama's Becker O'Shaughnessey and Penn State's Roman Trkulja.

Prabhakar is perfect in singles and doubles in dual match play this year and is on an eight-match singles winning streak and nine-match doubles winning streak - both the longest of his career. Thanks to his efforts, No. 65 Wake Forest has started 6-0 for the first time since 2005.

The Demon Deacons will return to action on Friday when they host No. 36 Louisville at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex at 5 p.m.
