WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest Tennis Complex earned the 2012 United States Tennis Associations (USTA) Outstanding Facility Award as announced by the USTA Technical Committee.

By recognizing facilities who make positive contributions to the game of tennis, the award also honors facilities that have high standards of quality. An award ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 2 in New York City.

After opening in the summer of 2011, the Wake Forest Tennis Complex has been hailed as one of the top college tennis facilities in the nation. The facility is the home for both the Wake Forest men's and women's tennis programs and contains premier indoor and outdoor courts. Boasting 13 Deco-Turf II courts, the Complex hosts the annual Winston-Salem Open, an ATP World Tour 250 event begins this year on Aug. 19 and will feature Andy Roddick and John Isner.
