WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team will jump into fall tournament season this weekend. The team is splitting up, sending four athletes to the UNCW/RBC Collegiate Tennis Invitational in Wilmington, N.C. and six athletes to the UVA Invite in Charlottesville, Va.

Freshmen Chad Brady and Amogh Prabhakar, redshirt freshman Conner Sherwood and senior Carlos Salmon are headed to Wilmington for the UNCW/RBC Collegiate Tennis Invitational.

In the men's "A" singles flight, Conner Sherwood will play Virginia Tech's Trpimir Kujundzic at 2 p.m. on Friday and the winner will face UNCW's Michael Pereira, who earned a first round bye, on Saturday at 11 a.m. Carlos Salmon earned one of the flight's four seeds and will open with Campbell's Larbi Lamzouri on Friday, followed by either Kansas's Alie Dzuba or Furman's Brooke Mosteller.

Prabhakar earned the top seed in the men's "B" singles flight, facing Eastern Carolina's Pablo Nunez Palmieri at 3:30 on Friday and play either Virginia Tech's Zachary Pine or UNCW's Chris Cooprider in the second round.

In men's "C" singles, Chad Brady will open with UNCW's Kosta Blank on Friday at 3:30, and face either top-seed Henri Mangin of Georgia State or ECU's Massimo Mannino on Saturday.

For doubles play, Salmon will team up with Sherwood while Prabhakar will play with Brady.

In Charlottesville, senior Steven Forman, who picked up a preseason rank of 74, earned a three-seed in "A-1" singles. Sophomore David Hopkins will play in the same flight, facing four-seed Mihai Nichifor (#78) of Columbia. Ian Atkinson and Jonathan Wolff will play in the "A-2" singles flight, Jason Morgenstern will play in "B" singles and freshman Danny Kreyman will play in "C" singles.

In doubles, Forman and Atkinson will play in "A-2," Kreyman and Wolff will play in "B-1" and Morgenstern and Hopkins will play in "B-2."
