WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Hokie Invitational continued on Saturday in the Rector Field House and brought forth more impressive performances from the Wake Forest track and field team. Wake Forest overwhelmed the competition in the men's 600m run as the trio of Thomas Bojanowski, Michael McEnany, and Kyle Eager claimed second (1:20.12), third (1:20.88), and fourth (1:22.32) place, respectively. McEnany and Eager both demolished previous personal best times in the event. This same trio was among the top finishers in the men's 1,000-meter run on Friday. On the women's side, sophomore Montasia Golden shattered her previous best performance in the long jump with a 7.75m leap that earned the Deacons a sixth place finish in an event that included an extremely competitive trio of athletes from University of Central Florida. Sophomore Nyki Caldwell set a new personal best in the high jump on Saturday. After a leap of 1.68m at the Wake Forest Invitational last week, Caldwell exploded for 1.77m this week earning her fourth place overall in the event.
