Wake Forest Wraps Up Virginia Tech Elite Meet

By Melissa Remmey, Wake Forest Athletic Communications (@WakeTrack) BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Wake Forest track and field teams finished competition at the Virginia Tech Elite Meet on Saturday in Blacksburg, Va. Freshmen Katie Adair and Sydney White continued their success in the pole vault, breaking the school record for the fourth consecutive week. Adair's vault of 4.02m shattered the school record of 3.85m set by White last weekend. White finished the day with a vault of 3.72m. The men's distance medley relay team of Ryan Horgan, Thomas Bojanowski, Kyle Eager, and Alexander Rose finished in second place with a time of 9:54.87. The Wake Forest DMR team comprised of Anthony Marois, Daniel Harrison, Nate Guthals, and Jake Graham crossed the finish line at 10:17.13. On the women's side in the distance medley relay, Wake Forest's team of Ashley Brubaker, Myesha Barr, Caitlin Krol, and Samantha Jones finished in 3rd place at 12:09.80. Aubrey Waggoner, Kendal Knous, Brianna Dekine, and Kathleen Darling came in fourth place with a time of 12:31.33. Women's High Jump Men's Shot Put Women's Triple Jump The men's and women's track and field team will return to Blacksburg next weekend for the Virginia Tech Challenge.
