TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - After the first day of competition at the NCAA Regionals, Michelle Loyd will continue on in action, placing eighth in the preliminaries with a 58.97 finish in the 400m hurdles.

Wake Performances on 5/30:

Carly Mauch placed 24th in the javelin throw, hitting a 130-08 mark.

In women's hurdles, Caroline Vaughn was eliminated from competition the 100m preliminaries with a false start. Alex Gove's 1:01.96 performance ranked 27th in the field.

Anna Nosenko placed 13th in the 5000m finals with a 16:52.29 run.

Wake's lone female sprinter, Nicole Castronuova, posted a 24.60 performance in the 200m dash that was good for 24th place.

Phillip Warsaw finished 33rd in the 400m hurdles, clocking a time of 57.07.

In men's sprints, Kerry Major finished 27th in the 100m dash with a 10.80 run while Jon Reid ran a 48.03 in the 400m dash, finishing in 29th place.
