Thomas Sensing is entering his second year as a member of the Wake Forest athletic department in 2011-12. He currently serves as an Athletics Assistant with Student-Athlete Services.

Sensing works directly with the CHAMPS/Life Skills program, coordinating and running student-athlete volunteer activities. He also aids in Academic Services by helping the counselors on various projects to ensure that the Demon Deacon student-athletes get the most out of their education.

Sensing joined the athletics staff after a stellar career as a member of the Wake Forest track & field squad from 2007-10. He earned All-ACC honors by placing second in the javelin at the 2009 ACC Outdoor Championships. He then went on to earn All-East Regional honors in the event later that season. Sensing, who also competed for the Deacons in the discus and shot put, earned Academic All-ACC honors in 2007 and 2010.

A native of Franklin, Tenn., Sensing graduated from Wake Forest in 2010 with a bachelor of science degree in health and exercise science.
