Former Wake Forest women's basketball standout Brooke Thomas returned to the program prior to the start of the 2017-18 season to server as the team's Director of Basketball Operations.

A guard for the Demon Deacons for four seasons, Thomas holds the program record for career assists (513) and ranks second in career steals (252). Thomas led the Deacs in assists all four years, breaking the freshman assists record with a personal-best 148.

Following her graduation from Wake Forest with a bachelor's degree in Communications and a minor in Journalism, Thomas spent time working with Fox Sports Florida as a special contributor and production assistant. She also served as the color commentator for the University of Central Florida's women's basketball team. Most recently, Thomas worked with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in Orlando as the area director.
