Jamey Givens is in his second season as Director of Basketball Operations for the women's basketball program.

Givens cames to Wake Forest after one season as the director of operations at UNC Greensboro.

Prior to UNCG, Givens spent two seasons on Sue Semrau's staff at Florida State, assisting the coaching staff in all aspects of the program. He worked extensively with the Seminoles' post players, including 2010 WNBA first-round draft pick Jacinta Monroe and All-Atlantic Coast Conference first-teamer Cierra Bravard.

The Seminoles finished 24-8 in 2010-11 and spent the entire season in the top 25 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN polls. FSU downed Southern Conference tournament champion Samford in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.

Prior to joining FSU's staff, Givens was a recruiting writer and publisher for ESPN's NoleInsider.com, primarily covering college football recruiting.

A native of Tallahassee, Fla., Givens completed work on a master's degree in sports administration from FSU in 2011. He earned a bachelor's degree in communication studies from FSU in 2008, graduating cum laude.
