WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team is heading to Raleigh, N.C. to face the Wolfpack on Thursday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast over the internet on ACCSelect.com

With a 17-5 overall mark and 4-4 conference record Wake Forest is eighth in ACC standings. The Demon Deacons are one win behind Boston College (5-4), Georgia Tech (5-4) and Virginia (5-3) and one in front of ninth place Clemson (2-8). Wake Forest enters the game on a four game win-streak.

NC State (9-14, 1-7) is hungry for a second ACC win. The Wolfpack defeated Virginia Tech on February 1, but enter the game with a 67-54 loss to Georgia Tech in Atlanta on February 8. Senior guard Shayla Fields leads the Wolfpack in scoring with 17.7 points per game and junior forward Lucy Ellison is the team leader in rebounds with a 6.5 average per game. Thursday's game will be NC State's second home game since the passing of head coach Kay Yow on January 24.

Wake Forest will have only have four days between NC State matchups (Feb. 12 and Feb. 17). That hasn't happened during regular season play since 1973, when Wake Forest played St. Mary's on February 5 and February 7.

On Sunday, February 15 Wake Forest will host Virginia Tech. The game is team's annual Pink Zone event, and fans that wear pink t-shirts will get in free.
