Women's Basketball Announces Summer Camp Dates

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest women's basketball head coach Jen Hoover has released the program's 2016 camp dates scheduled to take place throughout the summer in Winston-Salem.

The lineup includes the Team Jamboree on June 18, the Elite Offensive Individual Skills Camp on June 26, Future Deacons Day Camp from June 27 to June 30 and "The Wake Way" Elite Camp. "The Wake Way" Elite Camp date is still to be determined.

About Each Session:
Team Jamboree -- June 18

Our Team Jamboree will cater to high school (Varsity and Junior Varsity) and AAU teams that desire high-level competition. Teams will be divided into competitive divisions based on experience/age level. Games will be played in college-level facilities such as Budd Gym, and each game will be officiated by North Carolina Certified referees. Jen Hoover Team jamboree is a perfect way to measure your team during the offseason against other great programs!

Elite Offensive Individual Skills Camp -- June 26
Our Offensive Skills Elite Camp will cater to individuals who have a passion for basketball and aspire to play competitively and perhaps at the college level. Campers will be involved in more game-specific activities. Players will learn and practice similar developmental tactics utilized by our current student-athletes. Educational sessions include individual skill development and as well as team-oriented technical and tactical development. Elite Camp is open to all willing, rising 8th-graders through rising 12th-graders.



Future Deacons Day Camp -- June 27-30
The mission of our camp is to ensure that all participants receive a unique and memorable experience based on a creative curriculum, an energetic and knowledgeable staff and engaging activities that enhance skills. Campers will be exposed to the fundamental individual and team skills necessary to learn the game of basketball. We have an outstanding staff that includes the Wake Forest University women's basketball coaches, including WFU Hall of Famer Jen Hoover, as well as many of our current Demon Deacon student-athletes. Parents/Family are invited to join us Thursday at 12 p.m. in Reynolds Gymnasium for the championship games and a skills showcase. Future Deacons Day Camp is open to any and all girls, ages 8 - 14.

"The Wake Way" Elite Camp -- TBD
"The Wake Way" Elite Camp will consist of offensive and defensive breakdowns, in addition to competitive sessions. Campers will be taught "The Wake Way" and get a glimpse of what it's like to be a Demon Deacon. This camp is open to all willing, rising 8th-graders through rising 12th-graders.
