WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest Athletics and the Old Hickory Council hosted the 5th Annual Boy Scout Day on Saturday, April 21 at BB&T Field.

The scouts participated in hands-on clinics that were hosted by student-athletes from the Demon Deacon Football, Men's and Women's Basketball and Volleyball teams. Director of Men's Basketball Operations Jeff Nix also spoke to the Boy Scouts to kick off the event.

Every scout who sold $750 or more of popcorn during the 2011 popcorn sale was invited to attend the free sports clinic. Parents and siblings of the scout were also permitted to experience the event.

In addition, all qualified scouts received two free tickets to the Wake Forest vs. Virginia Tech baseball game, a free t-shirt and a special edition Wake Forest ball cap.
