"It was critical for me to not only find talented, energetic, and driven individuals, but to also find selfless personalities that would come together as a staff to help our student-athletes reach their full potential on the court and in the classroom," Hoover said. "I am incredibly confident that Mike, Jaida, and Jamey will thrive as Demon Deacons."
Terry comes to Wake Forest after spending two seasons as the associate head coach at Vermont. He has also made stops at Kent State and New Mexico.
"Mike brings a wealth of experience to our staff," said Hoover. " He is a tireless recruiter that is respected across the country and internationally. His energy and knowledge of the game will instantly impact our program."
Williams was most recently at UC Santa Barbara and helped lead the Gauchos to post season play in two of her three seasons. UCSB made a run to the NCAA Tournament in 2009 and an appearance in the WNIT in 2011. She also spent time at South Florida and Iowa.
"Jaida will be an incredible mentor and teacher for our student-athletes," Hoover said. "She is a dynamic recruiter that has made a huge impact at every stop of her basketball career. Her ability to connect with our players and recruits will be pivotal to our success."
Givens spent the 2011-12 season as the director of operations for the UNC Greensboro women's basketball program. He is a 2008 Florida State graduate and he remained in Tallahassee to work with the women's basketball program while completing his masters degree.
"I think Jamey is a rising star in this business," said Hoover. "His energy and willingness to serve our coaches and student-athletes will be a huge asset. He knows the landscape of ACC basketball and his passion and enthusiasm will be instrumental in building a championship program."
