GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wake Forest women’s basketball team will face Penn State as part of the 11th annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge, the league office announced Wednesday (June 28). The Demon Deacons will hit the road for the second consecutive season for the challenge, and will face the Nittany Lions on Thursday, Nov. 30, in University Park, Pennsylvania.

The meeting will be the first ever between the two programs, both of whom advanced to the WNIT last season. Wake Forest is looking to pick up its second consecutive victory in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge after coming from behind to defeat Illinois on the road a season ago, 79-70.

All-time, the Deacs are 3-5 in the event and the ACC owns a 71-51 record against the Big Ten in Challenge games. Last year, the ACC defeated the Big Ten, nine games to five, to claim the Challenge title for the ACC and improve to 7-0-3 all-time against the Big Ten in the Challenge.
