WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's basketball head coach Mike Petersen will be speaking this Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Providence Day Basketball Coaches Clinic at Providence Day School in Charlotte, N.C.

Petersen will be speaking to area coaches and giving them advice on how to team rebounding to their players. Other NCAA coaches that will be in attendance are Duggar Baucom (VMI), Sylvia Hatchell (North Carolina), Mark Byington (College of Charleston) and Alan Major (UNC Charlotte). In addition to those coaches, Stephen Silas of the Charlotte Bobcats will also be speaking.

Other topics that will be covered include implementing the up-tempo offense, individual skill development, attaching the zone defense, running the high-ballscreen offense and maximizing an athlete's potential through off-season training.

Petersen and the Deacons have their first practice of the 2011-12 season set for Thursday, Oct. 6, and will open the season on Tuesday, Nov. 15 against Monmouth.
