WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest women's basketball coach Jen Hoover announced that Jimmy Yu has been named the team's new video coordinator and assistant director of operations.

"We are thrilled to have Jimmy join our staff," said Hoover. "He is a tireless worker who is passionate about women's basketball. His energy, compassion and work ethic will be instrumental to our players and staff."

No stranger to the ACC, Yu joins the Deacs following his graduation from the University of Louisville. During his time with the Cardinals, Yu was a member of the women's basketball staff for two years, serving as the head manager before transitioning into an intern for head coach Jeff Walz.

While on staff, Yu helped facilitate an elite college level program camp for some of the top prospects and teams in the country. He assisted in the breakdown of film and player clips for the coaching staff and helped coordinate official and unofficial visits for prospective student-athletes.

He aided the operations staff at Louisville by creating itineraries and securing reservations for flights and hotels during the regular season as well as the team's international trip to Cuba.

A native of Midlothian, Virginia, Yu graduated from Louisville in December of 2016 with a degree in sport administration.
